Photographs captured in the city of Caracas (Venezuela) in my spare time between Nov. 5-9, 2012. I lectured gratefully a course on airborne LiDAR at the Instituto Geográfico de Venezuela Simón Bolivar (IGVSB). Many of the pictures were taken thanks to the members of the Consejo de Preservación y Desarrollo (COPRED) as well as professors at the Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV), members of ICOMOS Venezuela who showed me gratefully their city, including their exceptional Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas, declared UNESCO World Heritage in 2000.

I can not forget my students (members of the IGVSB) who came with me during the lecture breaks to taste the varied, abundant and tasty local cuisine, as well as visiting the well-known Institute neighbourhoods. I acknowledge Gtb Ibérica S.L. for calling my services as driver of the technical assistance at the IGVSB. This webpage is dedicated to all of them, displaying the imagery of the rich Venezuela country.

Images were acquired by two digital cameras, a semi-professional Canon PowerShot G12 and another integrated in the Apple iPhone 4G smartphone. They are displayed at small size. High resolution original copies can be requested to the author.
